Parts of this building date way back to the 1500s. It has stories of executions, murders and suicide. One of the victims, a young servant girl is now said to haunt the building and much of the paranormal activity has been associated with her demise. Sounds of walking, whistling, heavy breathing and crying can be heard. People have been touched, had their hair pulled and even been grabbed by something. A man wearing a hat and long coat has been seen along with female figures that walk from one room to another, dark swirling shadows and odd flashes of light.

Doors are often heard slamming closed on their own when no one else is in the building. People have felt numerous cold spots, witnessed things being moved, seen shadows in the passages and heard voices of children yelling and crying.
Featured on TVs Are You Haunted? The worlds oldest, remaining music hall, dating back to 1852. Through the decades its had many famous visitors. It was built on the foundations of an old school. During world war 1, it was used as a soldier recruitment office. Today, People often feel an unusual presence here. You may have the feeling that something is behind you or indeed, see the apparition of ghostly figures. People have had their hair tugged and had things thrown at them. Both male and female voices can be heard along with groaning sounds, loud bangs and breathing noises.
Built in 1702. The former home of many dignitaries. It was also used as a prisoner of war camp during world war 1 and a refugee camp during world war 2. There have been numerous paranormal sightings here of children that are said to knock on windows, touch people and pick their pockets. There have also been sightings of soldiers and a woman that stares out of windows. Tables will move on their own, doors will slam and disembodied voices are often heard.

Its played host to many famous guests including the Victorian actor, Sir Henry Irving, who is now said to haunt the building. Its also believed to be haunted by 2 young servants who brutally lost their lives here in a mysterious incident.

A large manor house dating back to the 1860s. Its been home to a railway engineer, a wealthy solicitor and a vicar before being used for Masonic rituals. Throughout the many rooms a female voice has been heard along with strange dragging sounds, whispering, tapping, and whistling. Chairs have been seen moving on their own and doors slamming. Dark shadows and a ghostly childlike figure has also been seen.
Created in 1857 as an assembly hall, library and reading rooms for the local cotton mill workers. Throughout the years its seen a wide variety of events from religious sermons and ballroom dances to important world war 1 meetings and petty cases down in the old courtroom and holding cell below. This venue has never been investigated before so its down to us to see what might uncover.

The oldest building on this site dates back to at least the early 14th century when the land was being used as a monastic grange, a farm run by the canons of Bolton priory. The main building is a 1780s coaching inn and was once the scene of the suicide of a former army captain. In more recent times, many people have experienced strange feelings in these buildings and seen figures of adults and children. This venue has never been investigated before so its down to us to see what else we might uncover.

The worlds oldest purpose-built masonic temple. Created in 1783 on the foundations of an even older building. There have been sightings of a man wearing Victorian clothing here. Black figures and strange footprints have also been seen. Loud banging is heard and eerie childlike singing. People have felt an unusual sickness and as though something has touched them giving the sense that there is something is creeping around in the dark, watching.
Opened as a recreation Hall in 1912. Primarily used to host cinema screenings and of course numerous stage shows entertaining many visitors throughout the years. Today, people have experienced uneasy feelings here. Footsteps are heard with a sound of chatter and unusual knocking. Images of a woman, a child and strange lights have been seen. Whilst sitting in the chairs people have heard eerie laughter, unusual scraping sounds and most creepy of all a male voice telling them to move.

Ghostly ballroom dancers have been seen in the halls with shuffling sounds, moving objects and dark shadows in the former bathhouse.
Built in 1538 as part of a family home. It was used to entertain and impress noble guests. It sits in place of what was once part of the Lanercost monks living quarters. During the 1800s, the area became famous for sightings of shape shifting ghosts that were said to be deterred by the use of a bible or a crucifix. In more recent years there have been sightings of ancient soldiers , feelings of being tapped on the shoulder and hearing strange noises such as knocking, clashing metal, groaning, screaming and crying.

The oldest, purpose built masonic hall in Northumberland, created in 1870. Despite the area being bombed during World War 2 this 4 story building was one of the few to survive. Motion sensors go off on their own here, doors open and close, chandeliers swing and objects are thrown to the floor. Figures walk through rooms and stand beside people. Thudding noises are heard along with humming, moaning and voices that seem to come from a secret stairway.
Built as a church during the late 1800s and extended using a selection of old houses making it a maze of rehearsal & theatre rooms. It was once used as a soldiers hospital during the war and today it has been plagued by sounds of moaning and whistling, slamming doors and things being moved with no one else in the building.

A former Presbyterian Church dating back to 1902. Its also been used as a Sunday school, an air raid shelter and an emergency De-contamination Centre. Its believed that a black figure seen roaming the building is unhappy with the prospect of changes being made to it. Pictures have flown from walls with screws still intact and shutters have flown open by themselves. Music players turn themselves on and people are afraid to go upstairs, feeling theres something else up there.
