The night started off really well. We started in the council Chambers, which had a very heavy atmosphere. As we were setting up, our equipment was going off without explanation, which was really interesting. We heard bangs and tapping whilst question asking and had some really good emf responses on the k2 device in the middle of the room. We found that the responses we were getting were stronger when the men in our group asked the questions and we had a thought that this may be due to the fact that historically, the council chamber would have been male dominated. Us ladies decided we would brave the cellar and we were not disappointed! Even though we had no readings on the K2, we had an amazing clear disembodied whistle which we had asked for. The tune of the whistle was an exact copy of the initial one we asked the spirit to copy and we were all amazed. We moved into another part of the basement and 2 members of the team saw a clear shadow figure cross behind a door into the kitchen. It couldnt have possibly been a shadow due to us being behind the only light source and we tried to recreate it, to no success. What a great piece of evidence! The ladies then went to the staircase and had an intelligent conversation through cat ball responses with who we believed to be a lady called Christiana, who had historical ties to the building. We also heard the bottom step creak and you had to actually walk on the stair to cause the noise. We had this happen twice. Whilst the ladies did this, the men broke off into smaller groups, with one gent heading to the basement on a lone investigation. He had some amazing evidence! At one point in his video he asks for the spirit to present themselves and straight after he says the word please there is a quiet, but clear NO He also heard whistling. Another one of the lads did a lone investigation in one of the offices and kept hearing a tapping and scratching on the desk in front of him (There is a video of this included, the talking in the back ground is us ladies on the stairs) Upon inspection it sounded to us, like someone was writing a letter on the table with a pencil or fountain pen. We did everything to try and debunk this and we couldnt. We later joined him and all heard this as a big group on and off throughout the investigation. In the same room, as a big group we did an experiment which actually delivered some of the best evidence I have personally ever seen. We had a torch shone at a single spot on the wall and asked the spirit to drain the energy from the battery. On demand, the spirit drained the torch and it dimmed to almost shutting off. One of our guest seemed to have great connection with the spirit as he asked it to dim and brighten the torch and the spirit did this on command. The torch actually brightened way past its standard light and dimmed to almost being turned off. The spirit then did this on another completely separate torch which only solidified this evidence. Seriously amazing. We did a great human pendulum in the cellar as a big group and we all felt there was a nice spirit (perhaps Christiana) and another more angry or unfriendly spirit. We had more whistles but also some of the best communications using a cat ball that I have ever seen. All in all, the night was absolutely incredible.
